Honoring the Legacy of Big Bill

The Butler Family Foundation was founded in memory of William Nelson Butler, affectionately known as "Big Bill". Big Bill began his entrepreneurial journey while working his way through college, and went on to create and develop various businesses with a connection to agriculture. With a business degree in hand, he purchased a nursery in West Hartford and expanded into a floral shop and a retail repair business. The foundation continues his legacy, supporting charitable causes that were close to his heart.

     The Butler Family Foundation is hosting its 4th Annual Golf Tournament on September 28, 2026 at Stanley Golf Course in New Britain, CT. This event offers participants the opportunity to enjoy a challenging round of golf while supporting the foundation’s charitable endeavors and giving back to the community.
